I met up with my good friend and her children at Hannaford’s Wharf in Coromandel. It was a quiet afternoon and the tide was low, so we had to tread carefully over the beach pebbles. We looked for treasures, pulled lots of faces, skipped stones, balanced on driftwood and paced the beach. A gentle shower at the end of the session forced us to take cover under a Pohutakawa, a great spot for snuggle and a quiet chat.
